Hotel Interior Design Ideas to Try at Home

One of the things I enjoy most about visiting hotels is taking inspiration from their interiors. Hotels are often full of clever design ideas, from beautifully layered lighting and luxurious bedding to space-saving furniture, stylish bathrooms and thoughtful little details that make a room feel special.

The good news is that you don’t need a five-star hotel budget to recreate some of these ideas at home. As an interiors writer and stylist, I’m always looking for affordable ways to achieve a high-end look, so I’ve brought together some of my favourite hotel-inspired interior design ideas. Whether you want to make your bedroom feel more luxurious, update your bathroom or borrow a few clever styling tricks, there’s plenty of inspiration to take away from these beautiful spaces.

How I Choose and Review Hotels

All the hotel reviews on this page are based on places I’ve personally stayed in. I share my own photographs, experiences and opinions, including the things I loved and anything I felt could have been better. I know that choosing a hotel can be expensive, particularly for a special occasion or family holiday, so I think it’s important to give an honest account of what you can expect.

When reviewing hotels, I look at everything from the location, rooms, comfort and cleanliness to the facilities, food, service and overall value for money. Naturally, I also pay particular attention to the interiors and design! My aim is to help you make an informed decision about where to stay, while sharing some beautiful places and hopefully a little inspiration along the way.
